Settling In
Since we've moved here, Randy has been asking me if I feel settled in the house yet, does the house feel like a home, do I feel the love for this house?
Umm....NO.
This is a wonderful house, I'm glad we moved (though I wasn't so happy with our mortgage broker), but it doesn't feel like MY house. I think it will take longer than three months before I "feel the love".
Doing it in every room only helps a little. This was the advice given to me by a friend in Ottawa. It was fun, but it didn't quite work.
My cats have settled in just fine, though Jazzie seems to be a bit more timid these days. Maybe she needs more time too.
One of my artist friends,Charles, called me a few days ago, saying he's got a rat in his bathroom. It actually came out of the toilet!. It's not a myth? Rats can do that?
If you find a baseball bat in my bathroom, there's a very good reason why.

Valentines All Day Long
I made Randy this Valentines Heart. It has a magnet on the back, so it can stay on the fridge all year long.
And he made me breakfast!
Bacon and eggs over easy is a good meal, but not a romantic one, so he got me this:
A single long stemmed rose is always more than enough!
Meanwhile, I've painted half the basement, taken off some of the wallpaper in the bedroom, and finally started on my art projects.
A question: what does it mean when all of a sudden, you've been finding dimes every day for a week?
(that was just a random thought)

Brodie is still on the look out for Stanley. At least it keeps him occupied. Otherwise, he'd be following me around the house, whining the entire time.
Now, Randy and I are off for a walk and a Timmie's...
